Miss Ann - Administrator

Miss Ann - EMS Administrator

My name is Ann Gilman.  As the Administrator of Amazing Beginnings Montessori,  I am so proud to be a part of the Montessori method of education.  My goal is to provide each child that attends  Amazing Beginnings Montessori the best preschool experience they can have in a safe and loving environment that will make a positive difference in their lives.

As a child growing up in Sri-Lanka,  I attended Montessori school and still remember some of my favorite Montessori activities.  All my siblings attended Montessori schools in Sri-Lanka and they went on to  pursue higher studies.  So I experienced first hand the power a Montessori preschool program can have on the lives of children.  And now I have the opportunity to share this same tradition with others.

My name is Ms. Ruchika Verma. I am one of the pre-school Montessori teacher’s at Eagan Montessori. I was born in India. My mother was the principal of a public school and always instilled in us the importance of a good education. I did my studies up to high school in a convent school considered one of the best in India.

After I graduated from high school I worked in a pre-school. After that I went on to Meerut University in India to get my bachelors degree in Commers/ Economics. Later on I also got my two year diploma in computer science.

In 1995 I got married and came to USA with my husband. We have two children and we live in Eagan. While I was a stay at home mom,I volunteered at Pilot Knob Elementary school for one year. While I was there I felt that my true calling was working with children.

I went on to work at Beck’s Montessori school for two years and completed my Montessori teacher training program. I have also worked at the Goddard’s pre-school for two years. Then I got the opportunity to join Eagan Montessori and I love it here.

Now I am in the process of completing my masters in Education. I hope to be done by July of 2011. I teach Bollywood dance and have taken the Dance Kids to professional performances.   I have the pleasure of choreographing the Graduation/Spring Program.

Kindergarten Teacher Mr. DerekMy name is Derek Gilman.  I will be entering the Chiropractic College this fall to follow in my father’s footsteps.

I have worked at Eagan Montessori since I was in high school.  I enjoy working with children and hope to have my own Montessori school one day.
I love reading to the children and seeing how well they respond and absorb the story incorporating the Montessori Method of teaching.  My mentor is Miss Mickey, our Executive Director.  She has taught me how to use the Montessori tools needed to assist the students.

I strongly believe that children are our future and would like to help them develop their skills in these early years that lead them to independent thinking and behavior. I look forward to the opportunity to work with your children.
